A Girl belonging to a higher Varna should not be mated to a boy of a lesser Varna. Both belonging to the same grade or degree while determining the Varna should be allowed.

2. Vashya milan: Vashya gives a contribution of two points out of thirty-six points guna milaan quotient. On the basis of the Nakshatra of the Moon in a birth chart, a person is categorized in any one among Dev ( Divine) , Manushya ( Human) and Rakshasha ( Daiabolica) Gan. It is said if there is mismatch in Gan, there will be quarrels and disharmony in the relationship.

7. Bhakoot milan: Bhakoot or Bhukta gives contribution of seven points to the match making guna milan quotient.
