Myths & Facts about Rudrakshas:

1. Genuine Ek-mukhi Rudraksha is not found.

Genuine Ek-Mukhi Rudrakshas (kaju shaped) are, no doubt, a bit difficult to obtain but it does not mean that they are not found.

Spherical Ek-Mukhi rudrakshas are not found in present time. If found somewhere it costs around Rs. 2.5 lakhs.

2.Females must not wear Rudrakshas.

Females must also wear Rudrakshas because Rudrakshas give them energy too. The discrimination on the basis of gender is irrational and unrealistic. In Shiv-Puraan, it is clearly mentioned that Shiv & shiva both wear rudrakshas.

3. One cannot wear Rudraksha without knowledge of one's planets or sun-signs.

Linga Puraan mentions that any person may wear any type of rudraksha, without considering any criteria. However, to get a particular benefit certain combinations of rudraksha have been recommended.

4. Rudrakshas cannot be worn in Gold or Silver.

Padma-Puraan mentions that rudraksha may be worn in any metal or fibre. So it can be worn in Gold, Silver, Platinum or even in a thread.

5. If you wear a rudraksha you develop dislike towards worldly affairs.

Shiv-Puraan mentions that there are special combinations of rudraksha recommended to develop a sensual and charismatic personality. Some combinations are specially recommended for curing infertility among men and women.

Rudrakshas are used to develop a proper balance between worldly and spiritual world not to make someone a saint.

6. Genuine & best quality Rudrakshas are not found.
